Added

• Language picker when you transcribe: Ask every time (default), last selected language, or always use one language so import stays one-click. Change this in Settings. Extra clips transcribe only when you ask, each with its own language
• The transcript pane follows the selected clip (and the playhead). Captions generate from every transcribed clip on the Storyline, each in that clip’s language

Fixed

• Speech on a Storyline with more than one file sits under the clip it belongs to, instead of stacking on the first clip
• Speech segments appear on the timeline when transcription finishes, instead of waiting for a later click or waveform refresh
• Cutting words in one clip’s transcript no longer removes the other files from the Storyline

• Enhance voice in More commands: Talking Head, Vlog, Documentary, and Gaming, plus custom styles you can save and reuse. Like Reduce noise, it processes the span that’s actually on the timeline, not the unused original file

Fixed

• Clean Up no longer quits on long videos when similar phrases overlap (for example repeated “Okay.” / “Yeah.” retakes)
• The last word of a kept phrase is no longer clipped after Clean Up (a word that ended as “na” instead of “nation”)
• Auto-reframe, green screen, person background, demo frame, and other clip effects stay on the cut when you run Clean Up or another transcript cut afterward
• Enhance voice and Reduce noise on an Accepted cut no longer fail, and the Speech lane (and captions) stay lined up with the words afterward
• Caption background pills hug the measured text instead of stretching across the row
• Translucent caption and title pills export with real alpha — they no longer burn in as an opaque black plate
• Export with burned-in karaoke captions finishes instead of sitting on “Preparing composition…”. Progress shows caption rendering, then encoding
• Export time includes burned-in captions, so a long karaoke burn-in no longer claims “about 1 min”

Changed

• Reduce noise processes only the kept timeline span when the Storyline is already trimmed, instead of re-encoding the whole original file

Added

• Screen capture that starts on an existing Storyline clip asks Split & Insert, Place Before, or Place After — the same choices as dropping media onto the Storyline
• Screen + webcam + mic from one recording stay a linked take: trim the screen clip to trim all three, drag webcam or mic to slip-sync, Option-drag to unlink. Deleting the screen clip deletes the rest of the take
• Screen capture source: display, window (system picker), or a dragged region with a live recording border. Auto-zoom is an edit on the timeline and does not crop the file

• Demo Frame in the Inspector (padding, corners, shadow, background, styled cursor) now updates the program monitor for Storyline and B-Roll takes
• Changing Demo Frame no longer jumps the playhead back to 00:00
• Demo Frame Restore original removes padding, corners, shadow, and background so the take looks as recorded
• Demo Frame checkbox and action buttons use the same side inset as the rest of the Inspector
• Screen capture no longer stacks on top of the clip under the playhead — it splices into the Storyline after you choose Split, Before, or After

Changed

• Display, window, and region capture can include Passcut so product videos can record the editor. The capture HUD still stays out of the take. Capturing every window of an app is not offered — that macOS picker needs an extra Screen Recording permission

Fixed

• Screen capture no longer scales a smaller content rect up into a display-sized buffer (that cropped the take). The writer sizes from the first complete frame and letterboxes mismatches instead of clipping. Idle/blank ScreenCaptureKit frames are not written
• Application capture no longer opens Apple’s “Share All Application Windows” picker (that asked for a second Screen Recording permission). Region capture maps the dragged rectangle in display coordinates so the file matches the selection

Fixed

• Screen capture records a whole display, including Passcut. The capture HUD stays out of the take
• Starting capture no longer rebuilds the picker filter with SCContentFilter(display:excludingWindows:), which popped Screen Recording mid-take
• Program monitor keeps the storyline visible under a webcam overlay by compositing the bubble in the monitor overlay (and still compositing it in export)

Fixed

• Screen capture uses the macOS content-sharing picker instead of listing every display and window. That old path kept asking for Screen Recording even when Passcut was already allowed in System Settings
• Stopping a screen capture with webcam overlay no longer quits the app (screen and webcam were assigned the same media ID)

• Auto-reframe no longer fails with “Cannot Open” when a still image or background fill JPEG was treated as video
• Auto-reframe no longer calls a real movie a still when it can’t grab a full-resolution frame (common on some 4K / HEVC / green-screen stock clips)
• Image fill now shows in the Green screen and Person background dialogs (gradient and solid already did)
• Person cutout no longer looks ghostly or stained from over-processing the Vision mask
• Green screen fill now composites after the key, so the replacement actually appears
• Auto-reframe no longer snaps the crop or clips shoulders as often on talking-head 9:16
• Import no longer shows a raw “IntelligenceError error 4” code; missing speech on silent clips is explained in plain language instead
